Love. Obsession. Music.
Kevin’s gentle-but-fierce spirit runs on love and mindfulness. It carried him through addiction and depression to sobriety. On air, he delivers solace, hope, healing, and the joy of discovery to a global community bound by a love for music.
RADIOHEART begins at the beginning. Minneapolis, 1979. First Avenue, pulses with sound. Dancers crowd the club’s floor. There’s a skinny kid DJing. And then, that purple guitar-playing artist from Minneapolis, formerly known as the “artist formerly known as,” taps Kevin on the shoulder. These two are about to change the world in ways neither could imagine.
RADIOHEART shows the lasting effect Kevin has had on listeners in Minneapolis, Seattle, Reykjavik, Los Angeles, and other points across the planet: pretty much anyplace with Internet access and speakers plugged in.
Directed by Seattle filmmaker Peter Hilgendorf, the indie documentary RADIOHEART is currently in production and supported by a fiscal sponsorship with the Northwest Film Forum. Your tax-deductible contribution supports the film’s ass-kicking soundtrack–the final funding needed to complete this powerful documentary.
